Unfortunately, the installation app for macOS High Sierra is not available when I was trying to download it from Mac App store. So anything you could help me with to achieve this is greatly, greatly appreciated. It's a bit puzzling to me that the offical instructions for making a bootable USB drive for the older OS' just isn't correct or updated, even though the support page was updated December 4, 2020. I've used Terminal to make bootable OS install USB drives several times before and the guides online have worked with no problems.
dmg image to my USB drive using Terminal, but my old mac does not recognize that the drive is connected at all when holding the option key when booting, to be able to boot from the USB drive and not the internal OS drive, so obviously -source - target restoring that. I've looked through countless pages from the biggest search engines and the furthest I've gotten is to duplicate the. pkg file and modifying the Terminal command doesn't work, but I'm no wizard for these kinds of things.
